We're recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a well-established organisation operating within a busy operational environment.
This is a standalone role offering real autonomy, where you'll be responsible for leading the Health & Safety function across the business. Working closely with managers and employees across the business, you'll help drive continuous improvement, influence positive behaviours and develop a proactive safety culture.

The Role
• Providing expert Health & Safety advice across the business
• Carrying out workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments
• Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures
• Developing and reviewing Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Delivering engaging Health & Safety training and toolbox talks
• Monitoring compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation
• Analysing safety data and producing reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Working collaboratively with operational managers to promote a positive safety culture
• Supporting external audits and liaising with regulatory bodies where required
About You
• Passionate about Health & Safety and employee wellbeing
• A confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
• Experienced in accident investigation, audits, inspections and risk assessments
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment
• Experienced in delivering Health & Safety training
• Analytical with strong report writing skills
Essential Requirements
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor or Health & Safety Lead
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
• Experience carrying out investigations, audits and risk assessments
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
