Job Description: • HGV Class 2 Driver - DustCart Driver • Havering • £19.05 per hour plus an attractive Benefits Package • Monday to Friday • 6am starts • 8 hours per shift guaranteed • PAYE ONLY The Role We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dustcart Driver (HGV Class 2) to join our waste management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, collecting and transporting waste materials efficiently and safely. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and service. The position involves delivering waste collection services across designated routes, ensuring timely pickups, and adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations. Responsibilities • Operate dustcart and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety laws and company policies. • Collect waste materials from various locations, ensuring proper handling and disposal procedures are followed. • Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness. • Maintain accurate records of collections, routes, and vehicle maintenance logs. • Assist with loading and unloading waste containers as required. • Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to schedules. • Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor. • Uphold high standards of customer service when interacting with clients during collections. Experience • Proven experience as a HGV driver, preferably within waste management or similar logistics sectors. • Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV). No more than 6 points or any other major endorsements • Up to date CPC and Tacho Cards • Experience in driving on different types of roads and navigating urban or rural routes efficiently. • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving and waste collection is desirable. • This role is ideal for organised individuals who take pride in their driving skills and commitment to safety standards. • Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of professionalism throughout their duties.
