HGV Class 1 Driver - Solihull Earn up to £930 per week | Guaranteed Work Available | 3 Months' Experience Required People Solutions are currently recruiting for a number of HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Solihull, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods, offering regular guaranteed work, excellent rates of pay, and long-term opportunities. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, CE Driver, Store Delivery Driver, Trunk Driver, or Class 1 Delivery Driver. Shifts • Monday to Sunday operation • Various shifts and start times available • Days: 03:00 - 06:00 starts (flexibility available) • Afternoons: From 15:00 onwards (flexibility available) • 4 on 4 off shifts available • Monday to Friday shifts available • Sunday to Thursday shifts available • Weekend shifts available • Ad-hoc work also available Rates of Pay • Monday to Friday - £17.75 per hour • Saturday - £19.00 per hour • Sunday - £20.00 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Earn up to £930 per week • Guaranteed work available • Holiday pay accrued • Weekly pay with a minimum of 8 hours guaranteed (10 hours on average per shift) • Flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle • Temp to perm opportunities • Ongoing work throughout the year • Industry-related training and support Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Completing 2-3 deliveries per shift • Carrying out store deliveries to various locations • Trunking work available on afternoon shifts • Assisting with loading and unloading where required • Completing pre and post vehicle checks • Completing all relevant paperwork and using a PDA where necessary • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time • Adhering to all driver hours and Working Time Directive regulations Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence • Minimum of three months' Category CE driving experience • Valid UK Driver CPC Card • Valid Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • Good communication skills and a professional manner • A flexible and reliable approach to work Desirable Experience • Previous store delivery experience • Previous trunking experience • Experience delivering household goods or retail products • Experience working within a fast-paced transport environment Training Provided • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our Dudley Branch to find out more.
