HGV Class 2 Driver

HGV Class 2 Driver - Coventry People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver. Shifts: Monday to friday: 7.00am and 11.00am starts Pay rate: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour Benefits: • Excellent Hourly Rates • Ongoing Work • Weekly Pay • Overtime Available • Training Provided • Temporary to Permanent Opportunity • Immediate Starts • No weekend working Day to Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver will involve but not limited to: • Operate and drive a Class 2 vehicle in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly. • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations. • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers. • Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption. • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management. Essential Skills As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will need to: • Hold a valid UK C Class – Class 2 Licence • Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving a Class 2 vehicle. • No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes. • Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card. • Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English. • Use a Tail Lift and Pallet Truck • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills. • Effective communication skills. • Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required. • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. Desirable Experience • Experience driving Catefory C vehicles Training • Two days worth of industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
