HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER – DAVENTRY, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE - GOOD PAYRATES - ONGOING WORK – TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Daventry, Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing regular work and genuine long-term career opportunities, including temp-to-perm positions. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver or Pallet Network Driver. Shifts • Tuesday to Friday • 05:00 fixed start time Rates of Pay • £15.55 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing regular work • Weekly pay • On-site canteen • Training provided • Genuine temp-to-perm opportunities • Employee wellbeing programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to: • Completing multi-drop deliveries • Unloading deliveries by hand or using a pump truck • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections • Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly before transportation • Adhering to road traffic laws, company procedures and delivery schedules • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers • Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence • A minimum of two years' Class 2 driving experience • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • No major endorsement codes • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Excellent timekeeping and reliability • A good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Multi-drop delivery experience Training Provided • Industry-related training provided • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment Apply: If you are interested in this opportunity as a HGV Class 2 Driver, please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
