HGV Class 2 Driver

HGV Class 2 Driver (Nuneaton, Warwickshire) People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, guaranteed shifts, and long-term progression opportunities. This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver. Shifts • 4 on 4 off rota • Start times between 04:00 and 06:00 Rates of Pay • Basic rate: £15.67 per hour • Overtime rate: £19.31 per hour (after 12 hours or on additional shifts) • Unsociable hours enhancement: £2.18 per hour (19:00 – 07:00) Benefits • Regular, ongoing work • Weekly pay • Free on-site parking • On-site canteen • Opportunity to go permanent • Guaranteed shifts Day-to-Day Duties • Class 2 multi-drop store deliveries • Safely drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles • Complete 8–14 drops per shift • Unload delivery cages using a tail lift and load empty cages for return • Monitor and control trailer temperature • Ensure all loads are safe and secure • Work in line with health & safety and transport regulations Essential Skills • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence • Minimum of 12 month's Class 2 driving experience • Valid Digital Tachograph Card • Valid CPC Card Desirable Experience • Previous experience operating temperature-controlled vehicles Training Provided • Driving assessment required prior to start • First four shifts completed alongside an experienced driver • Full industry-related training and ongoing support throughout Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 2 Driver apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.
