HGV Class 2 Driver

HGV Class 2 Driver – West Bromwich People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client’s growing transport operation in West Bromwich and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers who are looking for stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression. This role would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Lorry Driver. Shift Pattern: • Monday to Friday • Start times: 05:00 – 07:00 Pay Rate: • £15.00 per hour Benefits: Your benefits as a HGV Class 2 Driver are: • Excellent hourly rates (PAYE – holidays accrued separately) • Ongoing work with full training and support • Weekly pay • Immediate starts available • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties: Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver will be: • Safely operate and drive Category C vehicles to and from delivery locations • Multi-drop deliveries (maximum 8 drops per day) using an electric pump truck • Complete unloading using an electric pump truck • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects to management • Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations • Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff Essential Skills: The skills required to be a HGV Class 2 Driver are: • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes) • Reliable, professional, and punctual • Good communication and customer service skills • Understanding of road safety and compliance Desirable Experience: • Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience • Good customer interaction and service skills Training: • Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout Apply Now: If you are ready to join a respected logistics business offering strong pay, flexibility, and genuine opportunities for growth, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
