HGV Diagnostics Technician Location: Dudley, West Midlands Pay Rate: £22.00 - £30.00 per hour (DOE) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance provider in the Dudley area, is currently seeking an experienced HGV Diagnostics Technician to join their busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience to work on a modern fleet of heavy goods vehicles in a professional and well-equipped environment. Key Responsibilities • Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding on HGVs and commercial vehicles. • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults. • Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software to identify issues quickly and accurately. • Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards. • Conduct inspections and roadworthiness checks. • Complete repair documentation and workshop records accurately. • Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard. Requirements • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. • Proven experience working as an HGV Technician or Diagnostics Technician. • Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle electrical and electronic systems. • Experience using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical data. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
