Responsibilities • Deliver specialised training sessions for HGV drivers, focusing on driving techniques, safety protocols, and industry best practices • Provide practical instruction in preparation for driving tests • Assess trainee progress through practical evaluations • Develop customised training programmes tailored to individual learning needs and company requirements • Keep accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and competency levels • Stay updated with current legislation, safety standards, and industry developments related to HGV driving • Support trainees in preparing for licensing examinations and certification processes • Maintain a safe training environment adhering to health and safety regulations at all times Qualifications • Valid HGV licence with a clean driving record • Previous experience in driver training or instructing is highly desirable • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and educate diverse learners • Knowledge of current road safety legislation and industry standards • Organised with the ability to plan training sessions effectively • A recognised qualification in driver training or equivalent is advantageous This role offers a rewarding opportunity for experienced drivers to pass on their expertise whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism within the industry.
