HGV Technician

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy, professional, and friendly workshop team based in Ilford. This role would suit a skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities, excellent mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach to maintenance and repair work. Key Responsibilities • Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on HGV vehicles • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently • Complete vehicle inspections and identify potential issues • Use diagnostic equipment and specialist tools effectively • Repair and replace components including engines, transmissions, and brakes • Order parts and materials as required • Maintain accurate service and repair records • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards • Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organised Requirements • Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, or PSV Technician • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills • Good knowledge of HGV systems and vehicle maintenance • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent • Time served technicians will also be considered What’s On Offer • £30.00 per hour (Monday to Friday) • £40.00 per hour (Saturdays) • £45.00 per hour (Bank Holidays) • Weekly pay • PAYE • Monday to Friday • 07.00am start • Long-term • Friendly and supportive environment If you are an experienced HGV Technician looking for a secure long-term role with excellent rates of pay, apply today.
