HGV Technician

We are representing a well-established commercial vehicle dealer group in Inverness, Highland, seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician for their busy dealership. Benefits: • Up to £40,000 per annum, salary dependent on experience and shift patterns • Overtime available at enhanced rate of time and a half • Job security with a regional company with a stable management team • Friendly team environment within an established business • Opportunities for career progression in the commercial vehicle sector • Work for a business that values quality workmanship and high standards Duties of a HGV Technician: • Conduct major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles • Undertake regular inspections and preventive maintenance services • Maintain workshop inventory and ensure cleanliness standards are met • Assist diagnosis and plan repairs in collaboration with repair teams • Complete and maintain accurate repair and service records • Process warranties and escalate claims when necessary as a HGV Technician • Perform wheel alignment and tyre fitting tasks • Complete all relevant documentation efficiently within set timeframes • Work proactively to meet the needs of customers and the business Requirements of a HGV Technician: • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair • At least 1 to 2 years of practical post-qualification experience • Strong commitment to producing high-quality work in a busy environment • Ability to work effectively as part of a team • Good organisational skills and a proactive approach • Motivated to meet team targets and achieve excellence • Individuals with an HGV driving licence will be viewed favourably but it is not essential Contact Will Grant, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Inverness and the Highlands, today to discover more about this fantastic HGV Technician opportunity.
