HGV Technician / Mechanic Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join our client's team in Oxford This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technician or Mechanic to join an established business and play a key role in maintaining their HGV fleet. The Role • Role: HGV Technician / Mechanic • Location: Bampton, Oxfordshire • Days: Monday to Friday • Hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm • Salary: £45,000+ per annum (dependent on experience) Key Responsibilities As an HGV Technician / Mechanic, your responsibilities will include: • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles • Diagnosing and repairing both mechanical and electrical faults • Completing 6-weekly inspections • Carrying out brake testing • Preparing vehicles for MOTs • Roadside Breakdowns • Ensuring all vehicles are safe, roadworthy and compliant • Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime • Maintaining accurate records of all work completed • Completing all relevant paperwork relating to PMI inspections The Candidate The successful candidate will ideally have: • Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or similar • Excellent knowledge of HGV mechanics • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills • A full UK driving licence • A Class 2 licence would be desirable but is not essential • Their own small hand tools • Ability to work individually • A reliable and proactive approach to their work • Larger tools will be supplied.
