HGV Trailer Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of HGV Trailer Technician in the Willenhall area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced trailer and heavy vehicle technicians to join a leading transportation and logistics provider. Benefits: • Basic salary up to £46,000, with bonus earnings circa £54,000 • Welcome bonus of £1,000 upon completion of 1 year’s service • Private healthcare cover • Contributory pension scheme • Paid annual holiday plus bank holidays (buy/sell scheme) • Life assurance scheme • Income protection cover • Training and development opportunities • Long service awards • Employee assistance programme • HGV medical contribution (50% of cost) • On-site parking • Company events Duties: • Conduct detailed inspections, servicing, and repairs on trailers, ensuring safety and functionality • Complete compliance documentation accurately and efficiently • Diagnose and resolve issues using EBS systems such as HALDEX, WABCO, and KNORR BREMSE • Participate in ongoing product and industry training, including IRTEC, tail lift, BPW, and SAF axle/brake training • Deliver exceptional customer service within tight deadlines • Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment • Uphold company values and standards at all times Requirements: • Experience working with semi-trailers or heavy vehicles • Industry-standard qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQs • Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence • IRTEC accreditation • EBS diagnostics experience, including Knorr Bremse, Haldex, and WABCO systems • Welding certification • Experience or training with axle manufacturers such as BPW, SAF, or JOST • Experience with tail lifts, double deck, or lifting deck maintenance This role presents an excellent opportunity for skilled Trailer Technicians seeking a secure position within a reputable company, offering competitive pay and extensive benefits.
