Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Havering Location: Havering, East London Contract Type: Permanent Start Date: 1 September Salary: £22,000-£36,000 per annum, depending on experience A thriving primary school in Havering is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join its team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who enjoys working across the primary age range and is committed to helping children succeed. In this varied role, you will provide class cover when required, deliver targeted interventions, and work closely with teachers to ensure every pupil receives the support and challenge they need. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment where staff collaborate closely and professional development is encouraged. Key Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality classroom cover across Reception to Year 6 using established lesson plans. • Deliver one-to-one and small-group support to raise attainment and confidence. • Assist teachers in creating engaging and effective learning experiences. • Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils with differing abilities and backgrounds. • Promote positive behaviour and a nurturing atmosphere for learning. • Track pupil progress and share feedback with teaching staff. • Take an active role in the wider life of the school.
