Location: Chelmsford Salary: £100 - £120 per day Job Type: Long-term and full time Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm Start Date: September Year Group: KS1 & KS2 Tradewind Recruitment is working with welcoming and supportive SEN school in Chelmsford to recruit an enthusiastic SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for their KS1 and KS2 teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a real impact on pupils' progress while working within a committed and friendly staff team. We encourage applications from experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are ready for the next challenge and transition into an HLTA role. While a Level 3 qualification is preferred, the school values hands-on experience and a proactive approach over formal qualifications. About the School: • Ofsted-rated "Good" with a strong reputation for inclusive education. • Special Educational Needs School - Mainly SEMH and ASD needs. • A child-centred approach to learning. About the role: • Lead a class for half a day when they are short staffed. • Deliver targeted interventions alongside class teachers. • Create engaging learning resources to support academic progress. • Work closely with the SENCo to assist pupils with SEN and EAL needs. • Set learning targets and provide assessment feedback. Requirements: • Previous experience as an HLTA or LSA is desirable. • Strong initiative and the ability to take on responsibility. • Good knowledge of the primary curriculum. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. • A Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning is ideal but not essential.
