Job description

Your new company Are you a HLTA on the lookout for your next role? If so, Hays could have the perfect role for you. We have been approached by a local school in Wigan looking to secure a HLTA to work 5 days a week, covering classes in the morning and delivering IT in the afternoons. This is a popular school in the community and gets a lot of praise from staff there. This is a Hays partnership school, so you won't find this job elsewhere. Your new role This role is to support class teachers across school who need to take time out of their days to plan and prepare lessons, as well as providing small group sessions to pupils who are behind or struggling with their work. You will be required to cover classes across school in the mornings, so this could be anything from KS1 to KS2 and then deliver IT sessions in the afternoons. You should be flexible moving across different year groups and have experience working as a HLTA. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this position, you should have higher level TA experience as well as full-class cover experience. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. Good knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum is preferred. However, the school will also consider NQT/ECT's. What you'll get in return In return, you will be paid a highly competitive daily rate and will be working in this successful school where you will become an integral part of a welcoming team of TA's. You will therefore have the opportunity to further develop your own teaching assistant skills and experience.
