Job description

HR Administrator (People Operations Officer) Location: London/Glasgow/Cardiff Contract Type: Temporary, hybrid 1 day per week in the office. Monday - Friday Hourly Rate: £16.88 outside London £14.95ph Contract Length: 6 months Key Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including data entry, employee record maintenance, and position management administration. • Create and maintain FAQ documentation for common employee queries. • Collaborate with Senior People Partners and Service Enablement Hubs on various projects to enhance service delivery. What We are looking For: • Experience: A background in HR administration across the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced environment. • Organisational Skills: Strong ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple processes effectively. • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive queries and collaborate across teams. • Attention to Detail: High level of discretion when managing confidential information. • Customer-Focused: Proactive in improving HR processes and delivering exceptional service. Essential Criteria: • Experience with onboarding, contract changes, and learning & development administration. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to deliver a positive experience. • Proficiency in IT packages such as Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 apps. Desirable Criteria: • Experience in the UK Civil Service or public sector with knowledge of HR governance. • Professional qualification in HR (e.g., CIPD or equivalent) is a plus!
