Job description

HR Advisor Chichester (3 days per week- 8:30am to 5pm) We are recruiting for a dedicated and ER focussed HR Advisor who can provide professional HR advice and operational support across a broad range of employee relations and people management activities. The role partners with managers to deliver pragmatic solutions that minimise organisational risk while promoting employee engagement and ensuring compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies and best practice. The post holder will manage a varied employee relations caseload, support organisational change initiatives, contribute to HR projects and play a key role in delivering an efficient, customer-focused HR service. This role requires the handling of highly confidential employee information and sensitive organisational matters with discretion and sound professional judgement. Key Responsibilities • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters • Manage complex ER cases from initial advice through to resolution. • Support and, where appropriate, conduct investigations into workplace matters. • Prepare management documentation, correspondence and reports. • Attend formal meetings, hearings and appeals as HR Advisor. • Ensure all advice aligns with organisational policy, employment law and best practice. • Build effective relationships with managers across the organisation. • Escalate complex or high-risk issues where appropriate. • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records. • Support managers with short and long-term absence management. • Coordinate Occupational Health referrals and monitor recommendations. • Advise managers on reasonable adjustments and return-to-work planning. • Monitor absence trends and recommend proactive interventions. • Maintain accurate employee records and case management systems. • Prepare contractual documentation and HR correspondence. • Produce HR reports and management information. • Support implementation of HR initiatives and organisational change programmes. • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and service delivery. • Promote a positive employee experience across the organisation. Requirements • CIPD Level 3 (minimum) or equivalent HR qualification. • Experience in an HR Advisory or HR Officer role. • Strong employee relations case management experience. • Good knowledge of UK employment legislation. • Experience advising managers on complex people matters. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
