Job description

We are looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused HR & Payroll Coordinator to join our clients HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist who enjoys variety and is passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will provide comprehensive HR support across the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training and development, employee relations, payroll administration and HR compliance. You'll also manage a varied employee relations caseload, ensuring issues are handled professionally, confidentially and in line with employment legislation and company policies. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities across multiple departments. • Deliver an engaging onboarding process for all new employees. • Coordinate induction programmes and mandatory training. • Ensure all pre-employment checks and right-to-work documentation are completed. • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems. • Support probation reviews and new starter integration. • Identify learning needs in collaboration with managers. • Support internal development initiatives and succession planning. • Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees. • Manage a range of employee relations cases including: • Prepare HR documentation and attend formal meetings where required. • Prepare and process monthly payroll information accurately and within deadlines. • Maintain payroll records including starters, leavers, contractual changes, absence and statutory payments. • Liaise with payroll providers and internal finance teams. • Resolve payroll queries promptly and confidentially. • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and reporting requirements. • Support pension administration and employee benefits processing. • Maintain accurate HR records and personnel files. • Produce HR reports and management information. • Monitor HR compliance, policies and procedures. • Support HR audits and ensure GDPR compliance. • Assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
