HR and Wellbeing Officer Permanent Job Opportunity – Will strongly consider applicants both 30hours weekly and 35hours weekly. Up to £30,500 FTE Surrey – Car owner required Tony Alan is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well-established and highly regarded organisation in Surrey to recruit a HR and Wellbeing Officer. Reporting to the Director of People and working within a small, close-knit HR team, the HR and Wellbeing Officer will provide comprehensive HR support across the organisation, helping to ensure HR practices remain compliant, consistent and aligned with employment legislation and best practice. Alongside advising managers and implementing HR policies and procedures, you will play an active role in promoting employee wellbeing and supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives across the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive workplace culture, while developing their career within a collaborative and values-led organisation This is a fast paced and varied role where duties will include but not be limited to: • Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a broad range of people matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies. • Supporting the management of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance and absence matters. • Producing HR reports and management information, including absence trends, training data and other key people metrics. • Coordinating and promoting wellbeing initiatives that support employee engagement and a positive workplace culture. • Playing an active role in the organisation's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) agenda, supporting initiatives, action plans and committee activities. • Assisting with employee engagement programmes and initiatives designed to enhance the employee experience. • Supporting the delivery of key People projects, including wellbeing, EDI and wider people strategy initiatives. • Assisting with recruitment activities, including preparing job descriptions, drafting adverts, coordinating interviews and supporting the selection process. • Managing the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a positive and well-organised experience from offer through to induction To be successful in this role, you'll have previous experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Officer or similar generalist HR position, together with a sound understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice. You'll be confident using HR systems and able to provide practical, first-line HR support across a broad range of people matters. My client is looking for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to learn, with a hands-on approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You'll be comfortable managing a varied workload, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment and building positive relationships with managers and colleagues alike.
