Job description

HR Business Partner - Operational East Lothian | Onsite | Permanent, Full Time £45,000 - £50,000 + Benefits Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a hands-on, operational role and enjoys building strong relationships with managers to make a real difference? We're exclusively supporting an ambitious and growing organisation to appoint an HR Business Partner. This is a varied, generalist role where you'll have the autonomy to support managers across the full employee lifecycle, helping them confidently navigate people challenges while embedding best practice across the business. Working closely with the Head of People, you'll be a trusted partner to managers, spending most of your time providing practical advice, coaching and support on employee relations, performance, attendance, wellbeing and day-to-day people matters. Alongside your operational responsibilities, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to projects, improve HR processes, develop policies and support the implementation of new people initiatives as the organisation continues to grow. As HR Business Partner, you'll play a key role in strengthening management capability and creating a positive employee experience by: • Partnering with managers to provide practical, commercially focused HR advice across a wide range of people matters. • Managing a varied employee relations caseload, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance cases. • Coaching and developing managers, giving them the confidence to lead their teams, handle difficult conversations and drive high performance. • Delivering training, facilitating meetings and supporting leadership development across the business. • Supporting recruitment, workforce planning, onboarding and talent development activities. • Writing and reviewing HR policies and procedures, ensuring they remain compliant, practical and fit for purpose. • Using people data and business insight to identify trends, recommend improvements and support informed decision-making. • Contributing to HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of employment law changes and new people practices. About You: • Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor. • Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing a varied caseload. • Excellent coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills. • A sound understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice. • A proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach. • The ability to balance operational priorities with opportunities to improve processes and ways of working. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans and a genuine family feel. You'll have the autonomy to make an impact, build trusted relationships across the organisation and get involved in a wide variety of HR activities, not just employee relations. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, partnering closely with managers and helping shape a positive, high-performing culture, this could be the perfect next step. The business is also committed to supporting professional development, including CIPD, giving you the opportunity to continue growing your career. To apply, please send your CV or contact Anthony Oliva at Iconic Resourcing for a confidential discussion. At Iconic Resourcing, we know that great candidates don't always tick every box. If your experience is a little different but you believe you can add value, we'd love to hear from you. Iconic Resourcing is committed to working with clients who value diversity, equity and inclusion. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments required throughout the recruitment process.
