HR Manager (12 Month FTC – Maternity Cover)
Location: Wednesbury
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm
Contract: Full Time | 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and hands-on HR professional to step into a varied generalist role where you will play a key part in supporting employees, managers, and the wider leadership team. Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will also manage a small HR team of three direct reports.
The successful candidate will ideally be available to start in August to allow for a comprehensive handover period.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers across the business
• Lead and support recruitment activity and talent attraction initiatives
• Support payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are achieved
• Manage employee relations matters in line with UK employment legislation and company policies
• Monitor HR KPIs and provide reports and recommendations to senior management
• Design and deliver management training and development initiatives
• Support organisational change and continuous improvement projects
• Build strong relationships across departments and leadership teams
• Manage incoming HR communications and maintain a high-quality HR service
• Lead, coach, and develop a small HR team
Requirements
• CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience
• Strong background within a generalist HR position
• Excellent employee relations knowledge and practical experience
• Up-to-date understanding of UK employment legislation
• Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
• Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Experience supporting business growth and change initiatives
