Human Resources Officer Location: Hook, Hampshire Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE) Our client, a long-established and highly respected specialist engineering services company, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer to join their team based in Hook, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, well-established business with nearly 50 years of industry expertise, offering a supportive working environment and the chance to play a key role in both HR operations and management systems. The Role Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive HR service across the UK business, supporting employees and managers while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies. Acting as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters. Managing employee relations and providing guidance on personnel issues. Coordinating recruitment campaigns, onboarding, and induction processes. Supporting performance management, appraisals, and employee development. Advising management on employment law, salaries, redundancy, and HR best practice. Maintaining confidential employee records and HR documentation. Ensuring HR policies and procedures remain compliant with current legislation. Supporting quality management systems and providing management systems assistance across the wider group where required. About You Previous experience as an HR Officer, HR Advisor, or in a similar generalist HR role. Good working knowledge of UK Employment Law. Experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training, and HR administration. Knowledge of quality management systems or quality assurance processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload. Sound judgement and the confidence to make decisions in challenging situations. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent written English and strong administrative skills. Salary & Benefits £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience 28 days annual leave, increasing to 33 days with service (including Bank Holidays) Company contributory pension scheme Free on-site parking Modern, comfortable office environment Opportunity to join a stable, established organisation with an excellent reputation
