Job Title: Humanities Teacher Area: Newham, East London Start Date: September 2026, Interview & Trial Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (13-weeks) Salary: Paid to scale, dependant on full-time experience Working hours: 08:20 - 16:00, Early finish Friday About the school: This Secondary Academy is a well-regarded, mixed secondary school located in Stratford, East London. Age 11 - 16. About the role: You will deliver engaging Humanities lessons that develop students understanding of key historical events, themes and critical thinking skills and helping students explore physical and human environments while developing analytical and investigative skills. Teaching multiple subjects is preferred but not necessary. We're looking for a dedicated candidate to: • Plan and deliver History, Geography lessons • Encourage analytical and evaluative skills • Support student progress • Contribute to curriculum development Requirements - The ideal candidate would have: • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent • Strong History or Geography subject knowledge • Experience in secondary education • Ability to engage and motivate students Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
