Our client, a leading organisation in the housing sector, is seeking a dedicated Income Recovery and Compliance Assistant to join their dynamic team in Coventry on a temporary basis for 3 months.
Role Purpose:
As the Income Recovery and Compliance Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality Income Compliance Service. Your primary focus will be on all aspects of income collection and recovery, ensuring that customers receive the support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver an effective debt collection service for former tenancy arrears and other debts, adhering to agreed timeframes and policies.
• Manage processes related to both former and current customer credit balances efficiently.
• Utilise your Excel skills to manipulate data and produce standard performance reports.
• Handle court paperwork connected to debt enforcement, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive records and case histories to support automated processes.
• Collaborate with external collection agencies and councils to maximise income recovery efforts.
• Ensure effective communication and understanding of Housing Benefit and Universal Credit information.
• Provide administrative support across all income-related functions and assist the team during peak periods.

• Excellent communication skills with a passion for ensuring high levels of customer service.
• Ability to write clear and effective business communications, including tailored letters to customers.
• A proven track record in office administration and a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient IT skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• The ability to prioritise your workload and adapt to changing demands.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a hands-on approach to daily tasks.
