FCL Inside Sales Executive • Location: Basildon Head Office • Job Type: Full-time • Salary: up to £35,000 We are seeking a proactive FCL Inside Sales Executive to join our client's team at their Basildon Office. This role is ideal for individuals with ocean shipping experience. Full training will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity for those looking to enhance their skills in the freight forwarding industry. Day-to-day of the role: • Answer incoming calls and liaise with customers and overseas offices via phone and email. • Prepare quotations using both contract rates and spot rate platforms from carriers, presenting these to clients through our operating system. • Build and maintain strong relationships with both suppliers and clients to benefit the business. • Generate leads and opportunities in collaboration with external sales to expand our existing client base. • Conduct targeted follow-ups to increase conversion rates and proactively manage and develop our customer base. • Work closely with our operations team on converted business to ensure a smooth transition from quote to booking. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience in ocean shipping, either as a Freight Forwarder or with a shipping line. • Strong ability to prepare detailed and accurate quotations. • Excellent customer service skills with a proven track record of building relationships. • Ability to generate leads and effectively follow up to increase business conversion. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
