Job description

Job Title: Insolvency Practitioner (Appointment-Taking – Volume IVAs) Location: Manchester Salary: Competitive + Bonus Structure (DOE) Overview A well-established and growing insolvency business based in Manchester is seeking an appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner with strong experience in high-volume IVA cases. This is an excellent opportunity for an IP looking to take ownership of appointments within a busy IVA-focused environment, supported by experienced operational and case management teams. The Role The successful candidate will act as the appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner on a large volume of IVA cases, ensuring compliance, quality, and efficient case progression. You will work closely with senior management, compliance, and operations teams to maintain high standards while supporting the ongoing growth of the IVA division. Key Responsibilities • Act as appointment-taking Insolvency Practitioner on volume IVA cases • Chair and oversee Meetings of Creditors and key IVA milestones • Ensure all appointments comply with regulatory and statutory requirements • Provide technical oversight and guidance to IVA case administration teams • Review and sign off proposals, reports, variations, and closures • Liaise with creditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders as required • Support compliance, audit, and quality assurance processes • Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency within the IVA function Candidate Requirements • Fully licensed Insolvency Practitioner • Proven experience acting as an appointment-taking IP on volume IVAs • Strong technical knowledge of IVA legislation and regulatory standards • Experience working in a high-volume, process-driven IVA environment • Confident decision-maker with strong risk and compliance awareness • Excellent communication and leadership skills What’s on Offer • Competitive salary and attractive bonus structure • Opportunity to join a growing Manchester-based insolvency business • Supportive infrastructure and experienced operational teams • Long-term career stability within a volume IVA platform Agency This role is being managed by Imperium Financial Recruitment, acting as the appointed recruitment agency.
