Quality Inspector – Automotive Manufacturing Location: Dagenham, Essex Pay Rate: £16.01 per hour Shift Pattern: Rotating Shifts • Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm • Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – 12:00am Are you detail-oriented with a passion for quality and continuous improvement? We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a leading automotive production facility based in Dagenham. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality, safety, and teamwork are at the heart of everything they do. The RoleAs a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles and automotive components meet the highest quality standards before reaching customers. Working closely with production teams, you will identify defects, carry out inspections, and support process improvements to maintain exceptional manufacturing quality. Key Responsibilities • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of vehicles and components. • Identify, record, and report quality concerns and defects. • Ensure products meet customer specifications and company standards. • Complete quality documentation accurately and efficiently. • Support containment activities and corrective action processes. • Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. • Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance. What We're Looking For • Previous experience in a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician, or Inspection role. • Automotive manufacturing experience is highly desirable. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to read and follow inspection procedures and work instructions. • Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment. • Confidence using basic quality tools and measuring equipment. • A UK Manual licence • Flexible approach to working rotating shifts.
