Instrument & Resource Technician (Temporary)
Location: Narborough
Pay Rate:£13.91 per hour
Hours: 25–30 hours per week
Contract: Temporary (Until permanent recruitment is completed later in the year)
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Instrument & Resource Technician to support our clients Music Service team on a temporary basis.
Based at their instrument storage unit, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting musical instruments from schools across the county, as well as assisting with the day-to-day organisation and management of the instrument store.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive a company van to deliver and collect musical instruments from schools.
• Load, unload and safely transport instruments and equipment.
• Assist with stock control and organisation of the instrument storage unit.
• Prepare instruments and resources for distribution.
• Support general warehouse, logistical and operational activities.
About the Role
This is a physically active role that involves frequent lifting and moving of equipment. Duties may include collecting large numbers of instruments from schools, such as:
• Up to 100 brass instruments from one location.
• Delivery of 30 or more guitars to another school.
• Moving instrument stock between storage areas and vehicles.
Essential Requirements
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
• Willingness to undergo driving licence checks.
• Ability to be added to the Local Authority's insurance policy and sign the necessary declarations.
• Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling duties.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
