Job description

Insurance Administrator • Hourly Rate: £14.44 plus holiday pay • Location: Broadland Business Park • Job Type: Temporary (10th August to 17th November 2026, likely to be extended) • Working Pattern: Hybrid (1 day a week in the office on Thursdays) We are seeking a Temporary Insurance Administrator to join our team at a Social Housing Provider. This role involves managing all elements of the claims process, advising the business on claims liability, and ensuring compliance with legal obligations. Day-to-day of the role: • Undertake all elements of the claims management process, minimising claims exposure and advising the business on claims liability. • Maintain meticulous attention to detail in claims processing, reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring data discrepancies are rectified promptly. • Proactively resolve concerns raised from internal or external sources efficiently. • Maintain relationships with external parties such as Brokers, Insurers, Claim Handlers, Surveyors, and Loss Adjusters. • Support the complaints process by addressing insurance-related queries accurately and promptly. • Contribute to the development of the Insurance function by identifying areas for improvement and engaging in continuous self-improvement. • Ensure adherence to all processes and policies, stay updated with changes in legislation, and support the annual review and update of processes. • Engage in open communication with your line manager to facilitate effective review meetings and development activities. • Assist in the production and delivery of training materials to improve understanding of insurance policies and procedures, aiming to enhance claim experience and reduce future insurance costs. • Perform other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Experience in a high-volume transactional environment, ideally related to insurance. • Exceptional attention to detail and strong investigatory skills. • Commitment to achieving excellence in customer service, with strong communication skills (both verbal and written). • GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent). • Excellent organisational and time management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Insurance databases.
