Integration Developer (Backend + DevOps Focus) Location: Fully Remote Pay: £550-£600 per day (Outside IR35) Duration: Initial 6-month contract (with strong extension potential) The Role We're supporting a leading UK financial services organisation on a new platform build and they're looking for an Integration Developer with a strong DevOps background. This is a developer-first role with a significant DevOps leaning, ideal for someone who enjoys building backend services (TypeScript / Node.js on AWS) while owning how code is deployed, automated and operated at scale. You'll play a key role in designing and building deployment pipelines (Harness) while contributing to backend engineering and platform integration work. Key Responsibilities • Deliver infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) • Develop high-quality backend code in line with engineering standards • Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines (Harness focus) • Implement robust DevOps practices across the SDLC • Collaborate on delivering new platform features and capabilities • Investigate and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, observable and maintainable • Integrate with third-party systems in a resilient and secure way • Write automated tests alongside development • Contribute to design discussions and continuous improvement Key Skills & Experience • Strong backend development experience • Commercial experience combining development + DevOps • Hands-on experience with Harness (highly desirable / standout skill) • Strong AWS experience • Terraform / Infrastructure as Code • CI/CD pipelines (Harness and/or GitLab) • Git (GitHub / GitLab) • Observability tooling (Datadog, Grafana, etc.) • Experience with event-driven architectures • Understanding of Trunk-Based Development • Strong awareness of release risk and deployment strategies Nice to Have • Experience in regulated environments (financial services beneficial) • Experience working on platform or integration-heavy systems Reasonable Adjustments: Respect and equality are core values to us.
