As the finance function continues to evolve, they're looking for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to strengthen the team during a period of significant expansion and help prepare the business for a major confidential milestone anticipated within the next 12 months. This is an initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension for the right person. The OpportunityReporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the business maintains robust financial controls, delivers accurate reporting, and supports strategic finance initiatives during an exciting period of transformation. You'll join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your expertise will make an immediate impact. Key Responsibilities • Prepare monthly management accounts and statutory reporting. • Lead month-end and year-end close activities. • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances. • Support the production of statutory accounts and external audit requirements. • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls. • Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting. • Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial processes and reporting. • Support finance projects linked to business growth and wider strategic initiatives. • Help prepare the finance function for a significant corporate milestone expected over the coming year. About YouWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to thrive in a changing, high-growth environment. You'll likely have: • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent). • Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar technical accounting role. • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP; IFRS exposure would be advantageous. • Excellent month-end, statutory reporting and reconciliation experience. • Previous experience working within a high-growth, technology, SaaS or digital business would be highly desirable. • Advanced Excel skills and experience using modern finance systems. • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail. • The confidence to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across the business.
