Interim Head of Finance - Non for profit East Sussex Fixed term contract £50,000-£55,000 per annum DOE ASAP start Are you an experienced finance leader looking for an opportunity where you can make a lasting impact? I'm working exclusively with a well-established charity seeking a Head of Finance to lead its finance function during an exciting period of organisational change and transformation. Reporting into the SLT and Board, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, leading a small team while ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and strong financial governance. Alongside overseeing the monthly and annual finance cycle, you'll play a key role in supporting strategic projects, improving processes, and helping shape the future finance function. Key responsibilities include: • Leading the finance function and managing a small finance team • Producing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts • Preparing statutory accounts and supporting the annual audit • Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance • Supporting cash flow management and long-term financial planning • Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide commercial and strategic financial insight • Contributing to finance transformation and continuous process improvement We're looking for someone who has: • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) • Previous experience leading a finance function within the charity or not-for-profit sector • Strong management accounting, financial reporting and budgeting experience • Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills • A hands-on approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery • Experience leading or supporting organisational change would be advantageous This is an excellent opportunity to join a values-driven organisation where you'll play a key role in supporting its long-term sustainability while contributing to an exciting period of transformation.
