Internal Auditor - Slough - £45k - Slough - Hybrid Have you got experience in the automotive finance industry and are looking for a change? We're working with a well-established specialist automotive finance business that's looking for an Internal Auditor to join their UK team on a rolling temp basis. Whether you're an experienced Internal Auditor looking for your next challenge, or you have a background in automotive finance and are keen to move into Internal Audit, we'd love to hear from you. Full training and support will be provided for candidates making the transition into audit. Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering the internal audit plan, identifying risks, reviewing controls and helping drive continuous improvement across the business. Key Responsibilities • Plan, scope and deliver internal audit assignments from planning through to completion. • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify opportunities for improvement. • Produce clear, concise audit reports for senior management. • Recommend enhancements to business processes, controls and operational effectiveness. • Maintain audit documentation and support the monitoring of audit KPIs. • Track and follow up agreed audit actions with stakeholders. • Maintain the internal audit management system, ensuring audits, reports and actions are kept up to date. • Build strong working relationships across the business and with senior management. • Support the ongoing development of the annual audit plan and risk assessment process. • Assist in preparing management reports and committee papers. • Provide support on ad hoc projects as required. About You We're looking for someone who either: • Has previous Internal Audit experience, ideally within banking, financial services or another regulated environment; or • Has experience working within the automotive finance sector and is looking to build a career in Internal Audit, with full training and support provided. You'll also have: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • The confidence to challenge processes constructively and identify opportunities for improvement. • A professional, objective and proactive approach. • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint. • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
