IT Platforms Technician

We are recruiting an IT Platforms technician for a specialist infrastructure and asset management organisation that operates across the UK. What you'll be doing • Own the technical health of the organisation's Microsoft 365 estate - including Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and Defender - monitoring performance, managing alerts and driving proactive improvements. • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for third-party vendors and managed service providers, ensuring solutions are aligned to business requirements and delivered to a high standard. • Lead the response to major incidents, carrying out root cause analysis, coordinating internal and external teams, and putting in place measures to prevent recurrence. • Maintain and develop identity and access management solutions, including SSO, MFA and automated provisioning, alongside the organisation's security, governance and compliance frameworks. What you need to bring • Deep working knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, Active Directory, Windows Server and Power Platform. • Solid experience managing third-party vendors and service providers, with a track record of coordinating effective IT services and holding partners to account. • Good understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals - networking, firewalls, email security, backup, disaster recovery and identity and access management. • A collaborative, proactive approach: you communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, take ownership of problems, and see things through to resolution.
