Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional IT Support Engineer to join a growing IT team, providing onsite support to a school in Thetford. It is an initial 4-month contract role with an option to become permanent.
Pay: Equivalent to £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
This is a field-based role where you'll work directly with customers, delivering day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide onsite and remote IT support.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage and update support tickets with clear documentation.
• Keep customers informed on progress and resolution of issues.
• Prioritise and escalate tickets where required.
• Carry out routine IT maintenance tasks.
• Identify and report potential opportunities for additional IT solutions.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for candidates with experience supporting and troubleshooting:
• Windows 10/11
• Desktop and laptop hardware
• Microsoft 365 and Office applications
• Active Directory and Group Policy
• Windows Server and Hyper-V
• Google Chromebooks and Google Workspace
• Printers and print management
• Device deployment and imaging
• Mobile Device Management (MDM)
• Networking, switches, Wi-Fi and patching
• Antivirus and endpoint security
• Interactive classroom technology (touchscreens, projectors, smartboards)
Experience within the education sector is beneficial but not essential.
