IT Technician

Role: IT Technician Location: Wigan Salary: £26,000-£30,000 Work Pattern: On-site A DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE. We're currently recruiting on behalf of a growing IT services provider looking to appoint an IT Technician to join their technical team. This is a customer-facing role offering plenty of variety, combining on-site support, project work and infrastructure maintenance across a portfolio of client sites. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality 1st/2nd line support, resolving technical issues, maintaining IT infrastructure and assisting with a range of technology projects. Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll build strong relationships with users while ensuring systems remain secure, reliable and well maintained. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical support across multiple customer sites, resolving a variety of IT issues. • Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware, software and network environments. • Manage user accounts, device setup and system configurations. • Assist with IT projects, upgrades and infrastructure improvements. • Maintain accurate support records while delivering excellent customer service. Skills & Experience • Previous IT support experience within the education sector or an MSP. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and networking. • Strong troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills. • Ability to manage workloads across multiple sites. • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. • Proactive, organised and able to work independently.
