Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Junior Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias.

Overall Purpose:
• Maintain and service all production machinery, using a multi-skilled approach.
• Provide front line engineering support.
Key Duties:
• Assist the Engineering Supervisor in minimising machine down time by proposing and introducing improved maintenance programmes and continuous improvement ideas.
• Execute DPM/PPM systems.
• Carry out property / facility maintenance duties as required.
• Carry out routine statutory checks as required.
• Complete a breakdown/fault log daily.
• Liaise with the cell leaders daily providing engineering support.
• Liaise with contracted service providers when on site, sign on/off in line with the companies site visitor / "permit to work" procedures.
• Monitor engineering stock usage.
• Participate in continuous improvement programmes.
• Adhere to all H&S procedures as advised by the company.
• Complete additional skills training as required by the company.
• Carry out such other duties as the management team may reasonably require.
• To adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
Key Requirements:
• Apprenticeship or NVQ level 3.
• Mechanical ability is preferable.
• Electrical ability (Electrical 18Edition qualification desirable).
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical DPM/PPM procedures an advantage.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems an advantage.
• Conversant with electrical/ PLC control systems are desirable.
• Conversant with H&S rules, regulations and best practices.
• Basic IT Knowledge.
The Package:
• £41,900 per annum.
• 3 shift rotating pattern: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am.
