The merchandising function is a key focus for the business. This creates a genuine opportunity for someone to come in, take real ownership of a category, and help shape how the function develops as the brand grows. The Junior Merchandiser role offers genuine autonomy in a fast scaling brand. This role is ideal for a strong Assistant Merchandiser ready to step up, or an established Junior Merchandiser looking for more ownership and visibility. The main responsibilities of the Junior Merchandiser: • Own and manage the WSSI at department and sub-category level, forecasting demand, OTB, returns and margin • Complete weekly trading analysis, providing clear KPIs and actionable recommendations • Review performance at product level, identifying risks and opportunities in a timely manner • Manage line cards and core availability, suggesting and overseeing rebuys of key styles • Manage the critical path and delivery schedules, working closely with suppliers to ensure on time launches • Work alongside the product and design teams on range building and product selections • Support the development of junior team members Key Skills and Experience of the Junior Merchandiser: • Currently an Assistant Merchandiser ready to step up, or already operating at Junior Merchandiser level • Experience in fashion retail or apparel merchandising • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs • Commercially aware, with the ability to spot risks and opportunities quickly • Highly organised with strong attention to detail • Passionate about product with a good understanding of the market As an industry leading, nationwide Marketing, Digital, Analytics, IT and Design recruitment agency, we are continually receiving new assignments to work on, so keep a close eye on our website, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter pages for a full list of current permanent and interim opportunities as well as marketplace news and fun stuff.
