KS2 Teacher Vacancy – Wakefield area, West YorkshireAre you an enthusiastic and committed KS2 Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity in Wakefield? We are seeking a talented and motivated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming primary school where high expectations, creativity, and pupil achievement are at the heart of everything we do.
This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced KS2 Teacher or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their career within a thriving school environment.
About the RoleAs a KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to ensure all children achieve their full potential and are fully prepared for the transition to secondary education.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports pupil success.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, implementing intervention strategies where required.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and higher-attaining learners.
• Promote excellent behaviour and maintain high standards of classroom management.
• Prepare pupils for statutory assessments where applicable.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, school events, and staff meetings.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a KS2 Teacher who has:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
• Strong understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• The ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils of all abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to raising standards and improving pupil outcomes.
• A passion for education and continuous professional development.
