KS2 Teaching Assistant - Full Time - Islington - September 2026 Start A vibrant and supportive primary school based in Islington is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children to achieve both academically and socially within a positive and inclusive school environment. KS2 Teaching Assistant - The Role: * Full-time position, Monday to Friday * Working hours: 08:30am - 3:30pm * Start date: September 2026 or sooner * Long-term role until July 2027 * Supporting across KS2 classrooms * General classroom support role with additional support for pupils with SEND and mixed abilities The ideal candidate will: * Have previous experience working within a primary school setting * Have strong experience supporting KS2 pupils * Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and speech and language needs * Be proactive, adaptable and confident supporting mixed-ability learners * Have a passion for motivating and supporting children to reach their full potential * Demonstrate strong behaviour management and communication skills Main responsibilities will include: * Supporting pupils across KS2 during lessons and independent learning activities * Delivering targeted interventions in Maths, Literacy and phonics where required * Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and within small groups * Helping to adapt learning activities to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners * Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and confidence within the classroom * Supporting the Class Teacher with classroom preparation and organisation * Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff * Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents * Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment for all children This is a wonderful opportunity to join a welcoming school community where you can make a genuine difference to pupils' learning and development.
