Label Finishing Operator / Rewind Operator

About the CompanyWe are currently recruiting for a Label Finishing Operator / Rewind Operator to join a growing label manufacturing business. This role is ideal for somebody with experience operating rewinding, slitting, finishing or print production machinery within a manufacturing environment. About the RoleYou will be responsible for operating rewind and label finishing equipment, ensuring printed labels are inspected, slit, rewound and prepared for customer delivery. The role involves monitoring quality, maintaining production records and working efficiently to production schedules within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Operate rewind and label finishing machinery • Inspect printed labels for defects, colour variation, misprints and damage • Slit and rewind label rolls to customer specifications • Remove defective labels during inspection • Label and package finished reels correctly • Set machine parameters including tension, speed and alignment • Maintain accurate production records and job sheets • Carry out routine machine maintenance and cleaning • Work to production schedules and customer deadlines • Follow health and safety procedures within the manufacturing environment Requirements • Previous experience operating label finishing, rewinding or packaging production equipment • Knowledge of rewinding, slitting and label inspection processes • Ability to read job tickets and production specifications • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control • Basic mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment • Good communication and teamwork skills Salary & Benefits • Salary £25,000 - £28,000 DOE • Company pension • Cycle to Work scheme • Life insurance • Free parking • On-site parking Working HoursMonday to Friday rotating shifts: • 05:50 – 13:25 • 13:25 – 21:00 Friday: • 06:00 – 12:00 • 12:00 – 18:00
