Employment Lawyer (Locum - Tribunal Litigation Focus) Hybrid - 1 day per week in office (Perceval House) £50-£60 per hour (Umbrella) 12-week contract | Immediate start Ready to hit the ground running?We're looking for a confident, experienced Employment Lawyer to step into a fast-paced, high-impact role supporting our Legal Services team. This is a hands-on litigation role - you'll be managing tribunal cases from day one, attending hearings, and providing clear, practical advice across the organisation. If you enjoy autonomy, complex caseloads, and being trusted to deliver - this role is for you. What you'll be doing • Running a busy employment tribunal caseload from start to finish • Representing the organisation at tribunal hearings (mainly short hearings) • Providing straightforward, pragmatic advice to managers, schools, and academies • Supporting on policy, drafting and compliance work (including Employment Rights developments) • Handling sensitive and complex matters with confidence and professionalism What we're looking for • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive (England & Wales) • Strong experience in employment tribunal litigation • Confident advocate (or willing to undertake advocacy) • Able to work independently and prioritise effectively • Ideally experienced working with local authorities, schools, or public bodies • Available to start immediately or at short notice Why this role stands out • Immediate impact - step into a live caseload • Strong pay rate aligned with market • Flexible hybrid working - only 1 day per week in the office • High level of autonomy and trust • Opportunity to work on complex, meaningful legal matters Working pattern • Day 1: Office attendance to collect IT equipment • Thereafter: Hybrid working - just 1 day per week in the office • Full-time preferred, but flexibility considered Fast-track process • Teams interview (panel of two) • Short drafting exercise may be included • Interviews arranged (no delays) Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
