Job description

Please refer to the attached Job Plan for full details of the role, responsibilities and expected outcomes. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our leadership team as ANP Clinical Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for an autonomous clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care whilst also leading service development, workforce improvement and clinical governance within a progressive primary care setting. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their clinical time providing expert assessment, diagnosis and management of patients. Whilst the role has a strong focus on same-day care and urgent presentations, we are also interested in applicants who bring specialist expertise in a long-term condition area such as respiratory disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, frailty, women's health or another area that will complement and strengthen our existing clinical team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate how their clinical interests, qualifications and experience will add value to patient care and support future service development within the practice. Alongside clinical responsibilities, the postholder will provide operational and professional leadership for the same-day care and nursing teams. This includes workforce development, clinical supervision, service planning, quality improvement, complaints and incident management, infection prevention and control leadership, and supporting delivery of strategic objectives. The role offers the opportunity to influence how services are designed and delivered, develop innovative models of care, support and mentor colleagues, and contribute to the ongoing development of a high-performing multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a clinically credible leader who is committed to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care whilst helping shape the future direction of the practice. This role would suit an experienced ANP or ACP who enjoys both direct patient care and leadership responsibilities and is looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact on patients, colleagues and service delivery.
