Lead Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lead Engineer (Either Electrically or Mechanically qualified) to work on a prestigious High-End Residential site based in Fitzrovia. In this position, you will be leading a team of 4 engineers and be working a 50/50 split on/off the tools. Lead Engineer Key Responsibilities: • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems • Perform electrical fault-finding and diagnostics • Carry out emergency lighting tests and maintenance • Monitor and operate BMS systems • Maintain AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and motors • Ensure water treatment checks and compliance tasks are completed • Supervise subcontractors and ensure all works are carried out safely and to standard • Maintain accurate site logbooks and reports • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client and occupants • Support and oversee on-site engineers to ensure smooth building operation Lead Engineer Requirements: • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installations or Mechanically qualified • Electrically biased with strong commercial building maintenance experience • Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities • Good client-facing and communication skills • Apprenticeship trained (desirable) Lead Engineer Salary & Benefits:£50,000 - £55,000 • Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm • Up to 25 days annual leave • Company pension scheme • Overtime opportunities available • Genuine opportunities for internal progression • Ongoing training and development support
