Lead Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Engineer to join a market-leading automotive manufacturer in Minworth. This role is responsible for leading the resolution of complex component and system issues, including engineering investigations, root cause analysis and identification of permanent corrective actions. Lead Engineer Permanent Salary dependent on experience Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2pm Minworth Site based Lead Engineer Job Description • Lead the design, development and delivery of automotive components and systems, ensuring projects meet customer requirements and quality standards • Drive technical problem-solving activities, identifying design issues and leading teams to implement effective solutions • Manage and coordinate CAD and CAE activities, overseeing the delivery of 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation to industry standards • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, tooling engineers, and manufacturing teams to support product development, launch activities, and continuous improvement initiatives • Ensure compliance with design, regulatory, and quality requirements while supporting NPI processes, DFMEA creation and production-related engineering changes Lead Engineer Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications • Proven experience leading automotive product development projects, with a strong understanding of component and system design principles • Experience working for an OEM/Tier 1 supplier • Strong knowledge of CAD design, engineering drawings, GD&T, DFMEA, and automotive quality standards and processes • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills Lead Engineer Company Benefits • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays • Life assurance x3 salary • Company pension, 4.5% employer contribution • On site restaurant If you feel you’re a good fit for this position, please click ‘apply’
