Job description

This role will provide inspirational midwifery clinical leadership to support the implementation and delivery of the East Midlands Maternal Medicine Network. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence and shape the Maternal Medicine Midwifery role and provide the following: • Clinical expertise and support to specialist midwives across the region • Support the implementation by setting the direction and vision for the Maternal Medicine Network in collaboration with the Consultant Physician and Obstetrician. Influencing regional direction within maternal medicine • Leading on quality improvement initiatives, sharing learning and reducing variation across the region. • Developing and coordinating educational agendas across the region What were looking for The prospective candidate should be able to demonstrate extensive experience working with maternal medicine services, with demonstrable experience of quality improvement, education and training. Necessary skills and aptitudes include highly developed communication, influential and negotiation skills including complex circumstances either for physical, social or psychological factors or differing clinical opinions. Any applying person needs to have a driving licence and a car to travel between locations. Be able to work clinically and work flexibly with the wider team.
