Evaluation of Service To monitor clinical pharmacy services for patients admitted to the Cardiac, Respiratory and Intensive Care (CRIC) directorate and the Respiratory service in accordance with the objectives set by the post holder and Clinical Services Lead Pharmacist in close liaison with the Consultants pharmacists in order to ensure safe, clinically effective and cost efficient use of drugs in these patients. Help ensure that the quality of the Paediatric pharmacy services is recognised as a leader in the national field in line with the corporate objectives To evaluate the contributions of the Paediatric pharmacists to the directorate To ensure departmental standards are met To undertake clinical audit as part of the multi-disciplinary audit process To undertake assessments / evaluations as required Clinical Practice To act as a clinical role model for Paediatric pharmacists and demonstrate the ability to provide safe, clinically effective and cost-efficient use of drugs in these patients Demonstrates expert clinical knowledge in Paediatrics particularly respiratory medicine To prescribe in the area of Paediatrics under Independent Prescribing Legislation (if required by the service) To follow legal, ethical, professional and employers codes of conduct To plan, manage, monitor and review therapeutic programmes To develop recognition as a national expert within the speciality of paediatric clinical pharmacy and paediatric respiratory medicine To enhance the quality of patient care To manage difficult and ambiguous problems To tolerate uncertainty To make decisions with limited information To demonstrate an intuitive grasp of situations based on deep tacit understanding To demonstrate a whole-system patient-focused approach To demonstrate advanced level of clinical reasoning and judgement To participate as a contributor of the SEL Paediatric Formulary To demonstrate professional accountability to Paediatric patients To demonstrate awareness and commitment to the Trusts Clinical Governance Agenda.
