Lead Physiotherapist

The Role As Lead Physiotherapist, you will combine expert clinical practice with day-to-day leadership of the physiotherapy service. You'll manage a complex neurological caseload while supporting and developing colleagues, driving continuous improvement and helping to embed best practice across the service. Working as a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you'll play an integral role in delivering outstanding rehabilitation outcomes for the people in our care. Key responsibilities include: • Leading complex neuro and respiratory assessments and treatment. • Integrating advanced technologies (robotics, EMG tools, digital monitoring). • Driving service development, audits, and quality improvement. • Supervising and mentoring physiotherapy staff and assistants. • Acting as a key MDT contributor for goal setting and discharge planning. • Delivering training, translating research, and fostering evidence-based practice. • Develop, implement and oversee individualised physiotherapy treatment plans, ensuring clear rehabilitation programmes are in place to support delivery by Therapy Rehabilitation Assistants. • Provide appropriate delegation, supervision and clinical guidance to ensure therapeutic interventions are delivered safely, effectively and in line with patient goals, evidence-based practice and agreed clinical outcomes.
