The core functions of this post are:
• To create, coordinate and deliver placement teaching to undergraduate pharmacy students in line with the university curriculum including:
• Safe prescribing
• Medicine management
• Drug History and Medicine reconciliation
• Development of the MPharm programme for undergraduate pharmacy students.
• To contribute to mentoring and supervision of pharmacy students
• To liaise with universities on matters involving placements
• To maintain personal teaching skills as part of CPD and engage in the peer observation process.
• To ensure that the teaching time allocated to this role is delivered in a transparent and flexible way
The role includes coordinating student placements, supporting supervision and mentorship, gathering feedback and evaluation data, and using this insight to iteratively enhance the quality of learning experiences. The post holder will also contribute to workforce planning by strengthening links between education and service delivery, supporting the development of a sustainable future pharmacy workforce.
